This policy applies to the Android game "Soldier Swarm" (package com.kraxonstudios.soldierswarm, the "App").
2. Summary
- The App has no user accounts and no servers of our own. We do not ask for your name, e-mail address or phone number.
- Your game progress is stored only on your device.
- The App shows ads through Google AdMob. Where required by law (EEA, UK, Switzerland) we first ask for your consent with Google's consent tool. You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy options.
- Optional in-app purchases are processed by Google Play. We never see your payment details.
- To find and fix crashes, the game engine (Unity) sends technical crash and performance reports to Unity Technologies.
3. Game data stored on your device
The App stores your progress locally on your device (Android "SharedPreferences"): coins, unlocked levels, stars, upgrades, selected looks, daily rewards and missions, settings (sound, music, vibration, graphics quality), ad-related counters (for example how many reward ads you watched today), your consent status and which purchases are active. This data is not transmitted to us. It is deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data. If you have Android backup switched on, Android may include this data in your own Google backup.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the game you asked for) and § 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG (storage strictly necessary for the service).
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App uses Google AdMob, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"), to show:
- optional reward ads that you start yourself (e.g. double coins, revive, bonus soldiers, a free upgrade), and
- occasional full-screen ads between levels (not for players who bought "Remove ads").
To deliver, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically processes:
- your IP address (also used to estimate an approximate location),
- device identifiers: the Android advertising ID and the app set ID,
- interactions such as app launches, ad views and taps,
- diagnostic information such as app launch time, hang rate and energy use.
Personalised ads are only shown with your consent. Without consent Google may show non-personalised or limited ads, which use the data above only for delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregated reporting. Ad content is limited to a maximum rating of "T" (teen). You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG) for reading/storing information on your device and for personalised ads; otherwise our legitimate interest in financing a free game (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Google may process data outside the EU, including in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and uses the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Consent management (Google User Messaging Platform)
If you start the App in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) appears before any ad is requested. Your choice is stored on your device in the IAB TCF format and passed to the Google Mobile Ads SDK. For this, the UMP SDK processes device information and your IP address (to determine your region). You can review or withdraw your consent at any time under Settings → Privacy options; withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before.
6. Crash and performance reports (Unity)
The App is built with the Unity engine of Unity Technologies (Unity Technologies ApS, Niels Hemmingsens Gade 24, 1153 Copenhagen, Denmark). When the App crashes, freezes or logs an error, the engine sends a technical report to Unity: error and stack trace, app version, device model, operating system, graphics chip, memory and performance values, and a random installation identifier. The reports contain no name, e-mail address or game progress. We use them only to find and fix errors.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a stable, working game (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Unity acts as our processor. More: Unity Privacy Policy.
7. In-app purchases (Google Play)
The App offers optional purchases (coin packs, "Remove ads", a starter pack). Payments are handled entirely by Google Play under Google's terms and privacy policy; we do not receive your name, payment method or card data. The App receives a purchase confirmation (product, purchase token, status) on your device to unlock what you bought and to restore purchases (Settings → Restore purchases).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the purchase contract).
7a. Rating prompt (Google Play In-App Review)
After you win a later level (level 10 or higher) the App may ask Google Play, at most once every 30 days, to show its rating dialog. The dialog is shown and handled entirely by Google Play; the stars and text you enter go to Google Play and are published as your public Play Store review under Google's terms and privacy policy. The App does not receive your rating, your review or whether you left one.
8. Children
The App is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us at support@kraxonstudios.com.
9. Storage period
We do not store personal data on our own systems. Game data stays on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data. For data processed by Google and Unity, their respective retention periods apply.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21) and to withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)). Because we hold no data about you on our own systems, requests about ad data are best sent to Google; you can reset your advertising ID in Android settings. You may also lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live. Contact: support@kraxonstudios.com.
11. Changes
We update this policy when the App or the services it uses change. The current version is always available at this address.
